MIA

Lately the project I'm working on is on very tight schedule. So in order to meet the deadline, I'll have to put in extra effort and less on blogging. Otherwise I'll have to cross the "DEAD LINE" myself. So please pardon me if you seen me MIA (missing in action). I'll resume my blogging when I come back, probably next month as I have something big coming on next week. I won't have access to any electronic communication on that period. Sayonara!

Redbox

My best friends ignated what has long been put off, a trip to Redbox@Gurney. This coming thursday is a public holiday. Well it is for my company but not for some, like Hubs' company. So in order to drive myself to Gurney to meet up, I have to wake up as usual time and send him to work. Then only I can have the car to myself. Recently my work schedule on the new block is super tight I can barely breathe. It must be completed by end of this month, which is only mere 3 weeks away. Wait, you haven't hear the final part yet. The best is, I'll be on leave for one whole week. That leave me with only less than 2weeks to complete since I'll be on 1 1/2 days MC and another 1 day public holiday. How can I finish my job then?? There's nothing else I can do but to put in extra time during weekdays and come back on weekends. Only then I'll be able to cover for the one week absent. So what I'm going to do is, go to work on my PUBLIC HOLIDAY after sending Hubs off to work. After that only join them to Redbox and come back to work after all the fun. Play hard, work hard.

Cold war again?

Went back to mum's place for dinner today. Did the usual routine and sat down to take a rest while going thru the cook book. I had wanted to cook for Hubs for so long but just didn't get to do it. First reason, I don't know how to shop for those ingredient in the book. They all just sound so alien to me. Secondly, I don't own a kitchen yet. Since I was staying with PIL, I just leave the cooking for MIL. As I was flipping the pages, Mum asked me to pour 'cold tea' for Hubs. Being lazy at that time and wanted to 'teh' Mum, I asked Hubs to get it himself. Reason being him asking me to do it myself when I'm at his house. But after much pestering from Mum, I ended up getting Hubs a glass of it. I could see that Hubs was not happy at that time already. How? His blacken face was so significant. I tried to talk to him but his just sort of ignored me. He complained that he felt I was complaining to Mum. And Mum might think he's ill treating me at his house. I totally have no such meaning. I mean, he always tell me to not be paiseh and get the things myself. But here he is, expecting me to do it for him. I know it's necessity for wife to take care of husband but then, there are times when the wife is lazy too right?
This is not the first time I'm receiving this cold treatment. He could go on to ignore me for quite sometime. I recall that most of the time when I'm not happy with him, I'll be ok in very short time. I'm starting to wonder a few possibilities.
When he's angry.....
1) Am I not sensitive enough to care for his feeling? That's why he's always agitated by me?
2) Is he getting more and more sensitive that small jokes will turn into serious argument?
When I'm agree...
1) Was he so good that he knows me inside out, thus I don't have chance to be agitated for long? Or was he a good persuader that always manage to cool me off easily?
2) Am I quite a care free person that I don't keep those small small things in heart for long?
The answer to this I have to find. I really don't know how to keep myself from getting into hot water. I had made my must-do list for 2008 and one of them is to be a good wife. Now I'm worry how I can be one when Hubs is always agitated by me....sigh

Yummy Yum Yam

After craving tom yam for so long, I finally get to taste it today. Hubs called me a moment before lunch. He wanted to take me out for tom yam as I was bugging him about it this morn. But then to have lunch with him, he'll have to come all the way up and then go down to Sunshine and later send me back to office, him to his office. It's so much hassle, pity him. Once in a while it's ok but today the craving is not that strong yet, so I turned down his offer. See see my colleagues suggested to go Sunshine, but it's already 11.45am. By the time we reach there, the queue will be so long already. So I didn't put much hope in eating it today. However, the guy up there must have heard my wish and divert most of the patrons to other places. I managed to order a bowl of yummy tom yam and it was ready in such a short time. Happily I whollap the whole bowl including the soup, till the base was exposed. Only the peppermint leaves were left. Am a satisfied girl now.

The Last Day of 2007

I had so much to blog after the one day holiday and no pc for me. I really have to blog on my very last day of the year. It all started like this....

Most of the people is taking 31st Dec off since it's a Monday and 1st Jan fall on Tuesday which means they will have a total of 4 days holiday. As for me, I'm trying to save on my annual leave and thus I went to work even though I felt so lazy. Since my lunch kaki was not here, I went for lunch with Hubs at Kg Jawa. We met up with another 2 friends there. Hubs warned me bout the food there and told me the nicest is the chicken rice and Char Kuey Teow. So I gave a deep thought and went with the chicken rice. I mean, no matter how bad, the chicken rice will not be as bad since it's just roasted chicken and rice. It turned out I was so wrong. The chicken was the worst I've ever had. I could not imagine a roasted chicken could taste so yucks! After lunch we went to Public Bank to open a new account. RHB was not giving a good service, I planned to terminate it and get a new bank. The number on the screen was 3047 and mine was 14 people away. We waited for almost 30 mins to get to my turn and another 10 mins for them to approve my bank book.

Half a day gone. Since it was already late, I dropped Hubs off at his office and drove back to mine. When I reached office it's almost 2pm. Upon getting off from the 16 years old Satria, I heard some hissing noise and smoke smell. Went on to check the front portion of the car and found that the noise was from inside and so was the smell. There were spots of yellow liquid too. Immediately, I went back into the car to check the temperature level but it showed normal. I thought everything was normal since I seldom check the car after driving.

In the office, I checked my mail to see that my blocks I was working were not error free yet and I had to wrap up that very day. One by one, I tried to solve and without realising, it's already 4.30pm. I promised Hubs to go home earlier bur seeing this problem, I'll be thankful if I can go back by 5pm. Hubs called to remind that we haven't buy the flower bouquet for tomorrow's mass wedding. Oh Sh*t! Will the florist be able to prepare the bouquet in such a short notice? Heck, better worry about my blocks first. Immediately after checking in all the blocks to server, I speed off to fetch Hubs. After driving for not more than 10m, the car decided it's time to rest for the year. Hubs saw the temperature shot up till "H". Stopping by the road side, he called for help to friends and SIL. Lucky thing, one of his friend was working just a building away from where we parked our car. So that's where we get the water supply for the tank. Apparently, the tank was so empty we had to fill more than 3L of water. Suspecting that the tank was leaking, we had the car parked back at the office and took SIL's car instead. Then after dropping her off at her house, we went in search of a nearby florist. Ideal florist located at iAvenue was our savior. We got the flower in less than 30 mins.

After a hectic day, we went to bed earlier and waited for the firework to go off. We did not welcome the new year in a very good way. Earlier on, I snapped at Hubs but then I had already cool off. While having a heart to heart talk on the bed, I was jokingly turn away from Hubs but he got the wrong signal. I was expecting him to come over and hug me but he turn his back instead. This was not a good sign. I was trying to figure out what went wrong and at the same time felt hurt that he had his back to me. That was one thing I dislike the most. What felt like an hour long cold war was actually just 10mins or so only. I knew he was not feeling any better than me, so I went over and apologize to him. After getting out what's in our heart, we felt so so so much better. Reconciled and after wishing each other Happy New Year, we got our rest to prepare for the next day to be legally married.

Welcoming 2008

ROM 1-1-2008

A brand new year, a brand new life. 1-1-2008 marked the first day Hubs and I are officially as Husband and Wife. We joined 23 other couples to solemnize in a mass wedding at Moral Uplifting, Penang, welcoming the very auspicious year 2008. The registration of Marriage (ROM) was a simply one, with quite a number of press photographer snapping away. Most of the couples there are quite young looking and some dressed in wedding gown, looking so pretty. Me, clad in a white cheongsam looking sweet ;p while Hubs in his black coats ever so handsome. We had Albert, Hubs best friend as our personal photographer for the day. Pity him, he was partying till wee hour the day before but has to get up to meet us the next day. Bet Hubs didn't tell him that we wanted him to be our photographer. Probably he just told him to attend our ROM. It was so funny. He had a shock when he arrived to see so many other couples snapping away. Both of us raised our hands and legs to agree that he is so much better than our paid photographer for our wedding day. Although he doesn't have the super huge and bulky camera, he has the in-born artistic talent. We had so much fun posing while he snapped non stop. The outdoor photos are very nice but the indoor ones are a little blur due to the lighting. He wanted to preserve the color of the lighting and thus no flash was used most of the time.

You will never guess who we saw there. It's our very own hired photographer. Nope, he's not there to take another couple's picture. He was there as one of the couple to be solemnized. Talking about small world. Well, Penang is definitely a very small island. Probably it's God's decision for him to meet us there so his photographer can take a few of our ROM pictures to compensate for his laziness attitude and blurred pictures he produced. He promised us he'll do something bout our blurred picture after we voiced out our strong dissatisfaction. It's been more than two weeks since then but he hasn't give us a call yet. Up till now I didn't blog about him cause it's too heartbreaking to bring up the matter. Just keep our finger cross that everything will be well after this.
