Here's our BIG PROJECT!! Previous blog I wrote about what favor I want to give my bridesmaid. I actually plan to do the t-shirt with wording "BRIDESMAID" on the front but we couldn't find the iron-on sticker plus nice plain t-shirt. Lucky us, we stumble upon a cute t-shirt with 6 lil animals on the front and immediately felt in love with it......maybe not us, but me alone. Hubs love it too but not as crazy about it as me. He knew I appreciated my friends (read: a lot) and he supported in whatever I plan to do for them. I'll post more on the t-shirts (for bridesmaid and best man) later, after I hand deliver all to our bestest BMs. These are all for the BMs who are going to be in our photo shooting also =)
I'm thankful that hubs was as excited as I am in making this DIY card. He got to do for his BMs and me for mine. We scouted around for the materials, papers from POPULAR RM10+, ribbon from Memory Lane RM2, and nets from Long Summer RM6 (Prangin Mall).
First, I made a sample for the dress and tuxedo. He's not good in arts...hehe...so he resort to cutting the brown and beige paper to form the frame layer. He does them without sweat while I'm still struggling with the cutting. Evil me, I made him cut out his BMs' tux. You could see it wasn't an easy job as the collars are a separate piece and they are tiny. There was a few time the collar's sample lost in his hand ( it's only 5% of his hand ). He had to search high and low for it.
At last, the dresses are done. The difficult part of this step is to get the net to stay fluffy while pinning the ribbon to the dress.
Ta-da! We did it. everything is glued to the card. The only thing left is the wording. You'll know what I mean in a second.
The master piece from hubs. He's so proud of it, he kept taking picture of them while mine is still far from complete.
Credit to hubs for putting the fullest effort and completed the cards successfully. So I load more of his workpiece, although there are many more I had to forgo. Too many to load. Sorry dear!
Here's mine for the ladies....
The complete pieces for 'Him' and 'Her' BM. We spend around 4hrs to get the cards done. You could see we really put in our heart, blood and sweat (erm....working in air-con room, so not much sweat I guess)
The 3D view of the gown. If only I had this gown for real for my BM. Budget constraint. Everything DIY and they have to self sponsor for their own white dress ..feel so bad bout it.
All the pieces put together. Due to reflection, the photo did not come out nice.
I know these do not look good. If I did not make them myself, I won't even know what the hell are they. Believe me, this is only part of the process.....
Now please put your hand together for the complete set.
A different angle makes them stand out like those models, don't you think so?
Presenting the lovely bridesmaid of the year...
*Phew!* All these are finally done. The total hours spend, I guaranteed not less than 10hours in total. There's not all. I've also included their name on the outside. Initially plan to put them on the t-shirt but was not confident enough. So ended up putting them on the cover instead. The wordings are not the normal one using pen, it's those 3D type whereby you can see and feel them.

What do you think? Does it look good? Would you spend so much time and effort in doing favors for your bridesmaid and best man?
