My Dream

I couldn't recall if I have blogged about my dream vacation. Oh well, I'll just blog about it again. In case you have read it before, I have added a few more dreams to spice up the post.

First on the list is DREAM VACATION. It would have to be Maldives. The first time I saw the pictures with it, I totally fell in love with it. It looks so serene and it has my favorite crystal clear sea. After much stealing of photos from various website, I have come out with these.....Tada!Second, I assembled stolen pictures (again..hehe) on my dream car, Toyota Estima. They have come out with a newer version and I love it so much. The story goes like this. I am so in love with the image of a pretty mommy driving her kids in a MPV to shopping, jogging, everywhere. It so happen that one day, I saw it. I saw that dream image getting down from Estima, with her kids and mother at the back seats. And I went head over heel with the car.Next is my dream interior design. I wanted my future house to look modern with minimal color matching. I saw a TV shows whereby they had a competition decorating house with black&white theme. It look so good and I had since wanted my future house to be like that also, at least with a sense of contemporary. Here's house is what I choose for my furniture and designLastly, I virtually shop for the house that I wanted to have. I wanted the location to be near seaside and so Tj Bungah is one of my choice. As I search online for photos, I came across The Palazzo, inspired by the romance of the Renaissance and the vintage charm of neo-classical Italian architecture. Being a classical fan, it is just the way I like it. However, the price is a lil neck chocking...but at that sqft, it is worth it. Just that right now, we are looking for a smaller and more affordable one. Nevertheless, this will still be my dream house. Maybe it just has to wait a lil longer for me to be the lady owner, say 5 years down the road? :)All of these dream board are on my multiple desktop's background. Every I came to office and look at them and just feel so happy. Cause I know sooner or later my dream will come true. Law of Attraction ma.... ;

Tell me, do you do this thing too? I mean create your own wish board?

Wii Fit phwet!

Doesn't it rhyme so nicely? Haha....

I got to know this product after reading a post in one of my favourite and daily perusal website, Weddingbee.com . One of the bride got her hand on this not long ago.
What is Wii Fit? This is another version from Wii Nintendo. Wii Fit combines fun and fitness in one product. It can change how you excercise, how you balance and even how you move. Wii Fit has 4 training mode, namely yoga, balance games, strength training and aerobics.

Talking about yoga, I had skipped the class for more than a month now. I better get my butt up and back in the class before I get in shape again.....well, before you go on correcting me, I would love to ask you one question. Isn't round a shape too? *cheeky smile* Yes, I can feel that my tummy fat is growing and feels a lil pregnant, although that was what I really hope for. But unfortunately, it is not the case. So if I cannot get my hand on this, I better get my butt back into class. Although I do really want one of this, I would prefer to use it when I have a house I can call my own. Then it will not feel so awkward doing it in the living room and fearing my FIL or MIL looking at me with a funny expression.

My lovely digicam is back

At last my SIL is back and so is my lovely cam. I miss it so much. Now it's safely in my bag, just within my reach easily. It turned out she took 700+ photos during her two weeks' trip. *jaw drop* Hehe...she got my addiction too....that is to take photos on the FOOD. The moment my MIL saw it, she commented on how it looks like my work. But SIL still hasn't master the skill of using macro. I love it when I take upclose photos. It looks so much better with the focus on the people and the blurry part on the rest of photos. I wish I can get my hand on those SLR like this....

I really love to shoot those effect like this

I don't know when I can own a piece like that for my trial and error thing. Oh how I wish....

Tummy no good

Sorry ya. After so long, I come back and the first post is not about yummy food or nice experience. Please read it when your tummy is not full k. It might cause you nauseousness.

I think my tummy must have gone haywire again. It's kinda like a symptom for my menses every month. Right before the cycle starts, my tummy will give me signs of aching, uneasiness, or even gassy. Like yesterday, it was so gassy after my lunch I thought I'm going to be sick. The gassy-ness is not the normal one, it's more of a needle poking from inside right thru my heart. If you were here, you would have seen my face turn green one moment and blue the very next. I couldn't think of the solution so I thought if the gas is out, then everything will be fine. True enough, once I went to toilet, squatted and as the air gradually released, I immediately felt so much better. Today it attacked me again. This morning, I had my usual big call from nature right before lunch. Well, everything must have settle after right? No. The tummy started growling again right after lunch. It's not the hungry growling but more to tummy discomfort. I settled the another big call which turn out to be not so normal. It felt more like eating wrong stuff nature call. Till now, my tummy is still not in its best state. Hopefully by tomorrow when my menses start, it will be better.

Please come back

I just can't wait for my lovely cam to come back. I missed it so so so much. It has traveled overseas for almost two weeks now. With him not anywhere within my reach, I have left out so many pictorial memories....I swear I will not give in to anyone else when they want to borrow it in future.....

My day on Labor Day

Hubs has bought tickets before hand for yesterday's movie. The show was at 2.20pm but since it was holiday, we decided to avoid the predicted jam and went in earlier. We reached there with empty tummy, headed to Paddington House for a hearty brunch. We started with a hot drink, Mocha. So lovely and tastes wise, good as it can be. I had in mind already what I wanted to order, my fav San Francisco 212. Even the sight of it can makes my saliva drool. The fish was good, I'm not sure if it was fresh but it totally doesn't has the frozen taste. Although the mashed potato was cold, it still taste smooth and yummy. What I like the most was the pepper they sprinkel on top. It makes the whole dish so so so delicious.
Look at these small cutey sweet tomatoes.
The sauce for the vege roll.
I couldn't find a good word to express myself now. The whole brunch was simply the best I had for so long. We ordered only these for a brunch for two. Something great to start the day.
After that hearty brunch, we shopped abit for Hubs new job and settled down in the cinema for a good show, Ironman. I went into the cinema not knowing what the show is all about. But at the end of the show, I gave it two thumbs up. I love the technologies they used to create the small small parts on the robot. The smooth gears that makes up the hands and legs and mask...totally awesome. If you think Transformer is good, you should watch this.
A friend called to invite us for dinner at Ingolf and we gladly accepted. Another 2 hours till dinner, so we drop by Gurney for Hubs to find for his obselete laptop battery. I was having slight headache since I woke up in the morn. So Hubs suggested I take a nap at MPH reading corner ;p and that was exactly what I did. I didn't doze into heavy sleep mode but it made me alert for the dinner session.
Dinner at Ingolf was another hearty meal. We had, Country Porksausages, Sterloin Beef, ChickenBreast, ButchersPlatter, Ceasar Salad, mushroom soup, and something-pork(this I forgot the name) for 6 pax. If you want to go to have a meal there, make sure you book before hand to avoid disappointment of being turned down as they are always full house.
I felt so happy and blessed to be with Hubs for whole day and hearty meals and good feeling.

Face - what does it indicate?

Her features:
High forehead
Broad nose
Pointed chin
I looked at this and I could say this is my shape. I used to hate my nose shape. It's like those jambu air shape, exactly like Dad. Now after reading this, I couldn't help but agree with the nose statement. It says,
"Her nose indicates she will attract a good man into her life and he will have the money to shower with good things"
That's what Hubs is doing. He's doing anything and everything to make our life a financial freedom one. This does not mean he will not work anymore but more to working on a passion and does not have to worry on how to survive. I just love my nose now...

Paint the wall

Early in the morn, we went to buy extra brushes as Hubs house only have left over paints, and no brushes. We reached as promised time, 9.30am. Look at the condition of the gate wall.Mr Sun is out but still chatting with Mr Cloud. So excitedly we planned out what to do first. As this is our first time, we left out several equipment. We totally forgot that we need the stuff to removed the oil paint on the wall before we can coat the new one on. Luckily they staff at the center managed to find one for us.

The two colors of the wall. This must be the work of a newer coat of paint on the further left compare to the right side.
There is two side of gate wall. We didn't manage to get volunteer this time. So we resort to work on the smaller piece first.
After scrapping off the older coat, we gave it a coat of paint first. Then let it dry first before coating it seond time. See the difference on the left and right side? Now it looked much better.
By the time we started on the second coating, Mr Sun was excited as well and kept on paying us a visit. The staff there was so nice to serve us ICED Ribena. Oh so cool and refreshing. They sure know how to make us happy. We ran out of paint in the middle of painting. So Hubs drove
out to buy more....and a bigger brush and a roller. While he was away, I tried to get some work done on the inside wall but Mr Sun just would leave me alone. I couldn't stand the heat and felt slight dizzy. I went under the shades to wait for him, while curi tulang...hehehe...
Hubby behind bars.
The hardest part has to be the bars. It's cylindrical and so hand has to go around it. Not to mention it's smooth surface doesn't help.
At last our masterpiece make us proud.
Well, this is not the end yet. This is only one side of the wall, a smaller side. The next mission is to coat the bigger piece, which is almost thrice of this size. Hopefully we will have good volunteers and can complete it within a shorter period. This wall took us 4 hours to beautify it. Our reward from the center was a taste of their lunch spaghetti.

Kocha Taiwanese Restaurant

I've read the review on The Star but on that time I wasn't sure where it is located. So I totally forgot about it until Hubs move to his new office. Went we were at the junction, just about to turn in, I went like, "Oh!!! So here it is!". Hubs was curious on what I saw that made me so excited. When I pointed to the signboard on the outside of the restaurant, he still could not get it. Of course, he also forgot that I had mentioned about this restaurant after I read the article. We decided to try it on day but kept procastinating. It was not until one day, two other friends wanted to go over that I suggested we have dinner there since it was so near.
The interior is so cozy and nice. There was two aquarium filled with beautiful corals and fishes. One of the photos I took which I thought it looked artistic. Never mind the lady at the back... ;p
The plates and utensils used for serving.
A set meal cost roughly Rm15 which consist of fruit, drink, main course and dessert. For that price, I think it's quite a catch.
One of us ordered 3 cup chicken set. It comes with plain rice, green vege, soup appetizer and that black thing on bottom left, it was a cake as dessert.
A good amount of chicken for dinner...just a slight taste of spicy
Mine was noodle with fried pork or something like that. I didn't get the exact name. The mee is smooth and the broth is clear and just nice.
Another big piece of pork.
Hubs and another friend ordered the famous beef noodle but sad to say before I can whip out my lovely digicam, they were slurping away already. Too good to wait, huh?
I couldn't get enough of it in Kocha so I recommended my another group of friends to have birthday dinner there last Tuesday. It was not difficult to make them all agree, just forward the convincing post by KY and StevenGoh. This time I managed to try the paper steamboat. I was not in the mood to take picture that day, so no photo of any dishes we had. But I had to suggest you try out the paper steamboat. It was quite nice, something new for me and the portion is quite big. Next time, I wish to try for the spicy pork steamboat, the one KY had in his blog.

Eden Handicap Center

I'm so happy to announce that for the first time, I'm organising a charity work. Hubs and I were firstly introduced to this center about half a year ago. The story started when Hubs received a forwarded email in search of good samaritans. Eden, a center set up by a lovely couple to cater to the needs of special children is dependent solely on donations. It's not like orphanage home, it's more of a center that takes in special children either part time or full time from the low income parents who are not able to take care of their special child. They will be put under the care of home-parents ( a term they used to describe the guardian who stayed in the center to cater to the children). For those who has reach the schooling age, they will be sent to special school, just like what the other normal kids would experience. Every time we go to do donation, the children will surround us, asking us a lot of questions and sometimes even perform dancing or singing for us. They will ask us to join in. It's just so much fun watching them. To be able to connect to them, you can feel their pure heart and innocence.

Once in a while, there will be good samaritan who organize an outing for the children to enjoy like normal kids. Last weekend when we went over to do donation, an idea struck me.What I'm going to do is not like bringing them to outing. I don't have the ability to take them out yet. I suggested to Hubs to give their gate wall a new coat and let it look more lively. I saw that their grass was trimmed and new playground accessories. So a new coat will see that the place is more organized and hopefully it will attract more donors. Oh, I'm so excited to do this. I had asked Hubs to call up the person in charge to get permission and at the same time, we will ask around if anyone is interested to join also. I mean it's not everyday you can bring joy to someone in need. I will update the charity work.....with lotsa pictures after the project is done. That is if we have the permission to do it. Please bless us.

If anyone wish to donate to this center, feel free to drop me a comment and I will get back to you. I will also update the details of the center so you can directly go and take a look.

A dream

Last night I dreamt that I was in a villa with huge swimming pool. I had change into my bikini underwear but top it with a loose t-shirt. I couldn't remember the whole story vividly but one part was very clear. I dived into the pool and after a short swimming to the surface, I emerged and fly like a butterfly just slightly above the water. Then continued to dive again from the flying post. This time however, as much as I swam, I couldn't reach the surface. I know I"m running out of breathe but I just couldn't emerged again. It feels like diving into the sea bottom and it has to take a few minutes to get to the top again. Hard as I kicked, I 'm slowly losing my breathe and feels as if I'm choking to death. With that, I woke up with a heart beating like crazy. Never had I experience this kind of dream before. And I don't know what does it trying to show. Am I drowning silently in real life?

A night without Hubs

Every time Hubs away for some business trip, I'll be going back to Mum's place for the night. So I did not feel the sense of lost every time he was not here. Last Sunday was an exception. As I mentioned in the earlier post, I went out and became a helper till after dinner around 9pm+. I drove all the way back to Air Itam from ParkRoyal Hotel. It took almost half hour to 45 mins. By the time I reached home, I was too tired to pack the stuff and go to Mum's place for a night. I took a good bath, rest awhile watching the HK Award and pop into bed in less than 30 mins. While in bed, I tossed and turned and couldn't find a good spot to sleep on. The bed was too huge for me. This is the first time I slept on our queen size bed ALONE. I could find myself woke up in the middle of the night being turned almost 90deg from the initial position. I was restless for the while night. There's no one for me to snuggle up or steal my blanket while I was sleeping. I know Hubs will be away more often now that he's going into his new job. I just hope my road to freedom will be shorten and we will have more time to together and when he travels, he will take me along too ;)

Joining

Sunday was a memorable day for me particularly. This was the first time I joined in FX1 course as helper. I went there with the intention to take a peep at Hubs and probably a hug as bonus. Never did I imagine I will be dragged in as helper. I started my day with good facial and after that drove all the way to ParkRoyal Hotel to meet up Hubs. Coincidently, it was almost time for lunch so I waited for a few minutes at the lobby. When all the students came out from the room, there he was, my gorgeous Hubs directing them like a traffic police ;p He took me in to their wrap up session ( with fellow trainers and helpers). As I stood there waiting for Hubs to finish the wrap up, Chris, one of the speaker suddenly said, "If she's going to be helper, she need a shirt". I was dumb stroke. I was just merely visiting. But since I have the opportunity, I might as well take it. Indeed it was a good choice.

We participated again in the joining session. Initially, I was reluctant to do it. The last time we did that, I cried and cried like a desperado. The purpose of the session is to let your mind do the flashback or flashforward. Unconsciously you see the things you've long forgotten and memories don't even want to remember. You could see what you have been holding back and it will give you a breakthrough and get you going further without the burden. I was afraid to face it again, for fear that my life is mostly of sadness. However, being instructed to do so, I did that reluctantly. I looked deep into Hubs eye searching for what there is to be searched. I found that I was thinking more of the good thoughts. How Hubs has been working so hard to make it work for him and me, for our future to be a financial independent, and that we'll have little ones and everything nice. I gave tears to all those thoughts. And surprisingly, this was the first time I ever see Hubs shed tears. Rolls and rolls of tears just glided down his gorgoeus face. I could see his invisible frown but I guess my happiness just drown his. Even the speaker who went around giving support could sense my happiness so strong that he saw my face glowed. All I could say is I'm so blessed to have that session again. I know we are on the right track, road to happiness and success. All this I have to thank my lovely Hubs.

A new chapter

I don't know about you but I feel so rejuvenated today. It's not because I got enough sleep last night, in fact I had the least sleep since a few months ago. Went to bed around midnight only to wake up when Hubs was back. What was he doing out there till midnight? I have to assure you he's doing completely marvelous decision in his life. It goes like this.

A month ago, 5 weeks to be exact, we were introduced to something called Forex. We attended the preview at FX1 Academy and were totally hooked off. Signed up their course on the spot and the 2 days course began a week after that. Of course I'm thrilled, this is the first time I'm so positive about a course. So during the class, Hubs performance was outstanding since he had background in option trading already. That set the spotlight on him after we, a team of 3 won a lose-as-much-as-you-can competition. This competition was so funny, I have to say, first time I saw people frowning and sighing when they had a winning trade. We were labelled the biggest loser, not that we mind even a tiny bit as the price of winning the competition was a whooping RM240 (collected RM30 each from 8 tables).

The spotlight on Hubs continued even after the course. With Hubs personality, he loves to explore and analyze and do all sort of thing to better understand the whole Forex Trading. The CEO and committee saw talent and knowledge in him. Coincidently, they are starting to expand their business in here, so they offered Hubs a chance to join their team. Which Hubs is more than happy to, this has been his dream all this while. To be able to grow with a company, not any company but a company that has so much growth potential, he just saw his street lights lit up along the road to abundance. Oh, I love the word ABUNDANCE. Hubs and the CEO had a good talk (sort of interview) last night, and I woke up to get update when he was back. We chatted and chatted and couldn't stop laughing WITH the thought of him being so successful in life, not as employee, not as self-employeed but as an investor. So even with lesser sleep, it can compensate with great news. My dream of becoming a successful tai tai is just around the corner, I could almost see it already.

Today is the day Hubs will tender his resignation letter and he promised that I can do it too in less than 6 months. I'm so blessed. All along I know I married a good husband. Now I'm positive I married a great guy, great husband and will be great father to our children and also our future adopted kids.

All this I have to thank FX1 for giving us the opportunity.

Edelweiss Cafe

28th March marked the day I turned 25th. As usual, Hubs will take me out for dinner. As usual, it was a place we have never been to also. The magnificent restaurant was not in the hot spot where you can spot it from roadside. In order to get to this restaurant, we had to park our car at a junction and walk for 5-7 mins to reach (might exaggerated a bit ;p) as there is totally no space to stop your car, what more to park. The street in front can onlu allow one car to pass, thus it was made into one way street. After what seems like 7 mins, we finally came upon this.....Edelweiss Cafe. It is a German restaurant. The moment I saw it, I knew this place will be a must-blog place.
They serve set meal too but Hubs had the orders in mind already.
The main entrance has the Chinese-y feeling
While the whole place has a mix of Chinese-y and Germany and definitely ANTIQUE
This was what made all my photos to be in yellowish color.
Even the lights was unique, taking the shot from directly below.
This photo totally don't do justice to the bar. You can't see how lovely they custom made the shelves. It was made of wood carving. Even the bar table was made of wood.
What caught my attention the most as I step into the restaurant was the big gigantic clock. Compare the human head on the bottom right corner with the clock itself.
What is so special about this clock is, it operates using mechanical touch. It used to be so accurate to second but some people couldn't keep their itchy hand to themselves. Thus the clock was almost damage in their hand. Though it still works, it will never be the same again..
The owner loves to create an illusion of bigger space, so you can spot mirrors around the restaurant.
Another big clock in the house. They turned the antique dressing table into part of the decoration, a place where they keep their packet sugar, packet creamer, etc.
Smoking are allow in house but they have a special section. This section has an open roof to let the CO2 escape thru the opening.
As Hubs know the restaurant is full most of the time, he made a reservation to be safe, even though our dinner is quite early.
The setting on the table
My favourite cake....chocmud. Now you know where my URL come about? Hubs bought it from Secret Recipe during lunch and being in an office without fridge, it was a disaster. The chocmud melted into what you can see in pictures below.
The waitress (lets call her W1) was so sweet, seeing the melted cake, she offered to freeze it first, to which we gently decline. Nevertheless, we still put a candle on top, Hubs sang birthday song for me, wish was made and candle were blown before we gulfed down the entire piece.
First to come was my drink order, Mango Lassie. (RM8). It was so rich of pure mango and yogurt, you will even feel full drinking that whole night. Hubs ordered Carlsberg (RM10). Nothing special to take picture.
Next, Edelweiss Mushroom Soup (RM10). This has to be one of the best in town. It's creamy, not like those cheesy creamy but more to rich in ingredient. You can taste bits of everything in its every spoonful. Even the toast was crunchy and perfect for the soup. Here come the main dish, B-52 with Rosti. Big smoked pork sausage, German style. You can choose the original taste or with curry sauce. We had the curry sauce. Trust me, it's more flavourful with curry sauce and No! it's not hot at all. This set consisted of a huge sausage, a wedges like pan cake (Rosti) and side salad.
Can you see how big is the sausage yet? No?
Well, Hubs willing to model his finger for you to compare. Now you see...
The sausage meat was so smooth and tasty. The set usually comes with fries for RM29 but for additional of RM3, you can opt for Rosti. You will never regret this. The Rosti was made of potatos, shredded into strips, a lil seasoning and fried till golden crispy. Simply delicious. This whole set was RM32, if you have not done the calculation.

Another set was Barbecued Pork Ribs.
A close up. This was also yummy, just that I could not tolerate the fats in between the meats. Hubs loves it that way. He said the fats are what make it more aromatize (my own word).
Overall, the portion of the food is big enough for a heavy eater but for someone like me (light eater), I suggest you order 2 main dishes for 3 paxes or go for one main dish and another snack. After our meal, I tried to drink my Mango Lassie but found that it was not cold anymore. Hubs asked W1 to add some ice to which she replied, "Was it too sweet?". We found that their service was great in a sense that they will go all out to make a customer satisfied. She constantly asked how's the food and even when clearing up, she saw our food was not finished complete. Again, she asked, " Was it too big a portion?". We totally love this kinda service. Even the restaurant was quite full, they still serve with great intensity.

While on the way to toilet (more pictures!!) I came upon this. It reminded me of my wedding where the dowries was send in it. Hehe...so much of a memory.
Then I came upon the cashier counter. Nothing special, just another antique after you've seen so many antiques in less than an hour.
Hubs told me there was an old sewing machine behind, so I went looking for one. I only managed to find this. Haha...it turned out Hubs mistaken the Ais kacang machine for a sewing machine Isk Isk.
The board read, 'Sorry, this toilet is "taken". Gently pull the end to verify the above. More toilets around the corner'. Well, do you think I'll just pass on this?
Totally NO! I pull the string and a loud eerrie siren and evil laughter came up. And slowly, the skeleton head showed up. I had to do it the second time to get a shot for you. Thus the loud noise created brought Hubs to me. He was curious on what I was up to. With a slight nudge, he pulled it too...together we made the whole "toilet" area so noise ;p
I managed to peep into the kitchen too. Well kept and clean.
The music box was airing lovely songs we had to ask the waitress (W2) for the CD cover. As she was still at the kitchen when I blew the candle, I assume it must be W1 that told her it was my birthday today. She wish me well when I returned the CD cover to her. How sweet.....
When it's time for for bill, I really had to take another picture. Their bill plate was so cute. The horse will keep the bill intact while the light is used when the condition is too dark to see.
Just a gentle press on the button will reveal this. Total damage = 96.60 including service charge and gov. tax. Hubs did gave extra tipping for their excellent service.
Here's the map to the great restaurant. I think we parked at somewhere near Tua Pek Kong.
You can get more info on their lovely Edelweiss Cafe website.
